Don't Trust a Website!

1. Examine URL (Universal Routing Link):
- is it a personal page?
-~= often personal page
-%= often personal page
-ISP aka aol.com, wikispaces.com, yahoo.com
-Domain(.com, .net, .edu , etc.)
2. Examine size of page (bottom bar)
-Date (recently updated?)
-Name of author, name of organization
-Truncate the URL
3. Links, additional sites referred
-Find the links
-Find the footnotes
4. What do other's say?
-Reviews of website
-Recognition/lack of recognition
-Alexa.com
5. If you still don't trust it, don't use it!
